Went to dinner the other night with some friends and we had an awesome dinner! We ordered the arancini with porcini mushroom cream sauce, the salmon puttanesca special, and fillet with broccolini and Gorgonzola. The cheese plate for dessert! The menu has many great options and specials. It was difficult to determine what to order. When we first got to our table we noticed how wobbly it was and once we ordered our apps we noticed our server we could not deal with the wobbly table top for the entire dinner. The manager Tony immediately responded . In the middle of a VERY BUSY seating , Tony sent us to the bar for a complimentary drink while he switched the table out. He was very attentive and apologized for our dinner service being interrupted. We were in no way complaining or annoyed. The service and food were outstanding. We will be back for sure.
The service and meal were fantastic! I cannot think of one complaint. The servers and support staff made sure you had everything you needed throughout your entire stay. The grilled octopus we ordered for the appetizer was phenomenal. It was cooked and charred perfectly. I had the pork trilogy which was delicious as well. The meatball was especially delicious. The ambience of JTs, as an upscale and modern Italian restaurant, is always one of my favorites.
We made a reservation for Saturday brunch at 1230. 4 of us and a baby. They have high chairs and were very accommodating. The brunch menu is so good. I ordered the made to order donuts and they were so delicious. Came out so hot, covered in sugar, and the fruit jam dipping sauce was amazing. 2 of us shared a breakfast pizza and it was also really good. Got a coffee and cranberry mimosa. The front patio was open because it was a gorgeous day so it was nice to sit inside but also get the outdoor feel. Would definitely go back for brunch. Love that they accommodate kids and reservations.
I stopped by recently for brunch. It was my first time. Nicely decorated inside, plenty of seating and outdoor patio as well. I ordered the arugula salad. It was light, lemony and fresh. The polenta croutons were crispy and delicious. A nice touch for someone with a gluten free diet and a cool twist on a salad. Service was fine. The plates I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try more because of my limited diet. A nice place to stop by if you are in the area and want some Italian.
What a great location! This area of Elmwood Ave has been my stomping ground since I was young! But this restaurant was a newbie for me! I think when this place first open, I came in one evening for cocktails, and I didn't have any negatives to say about it, but today was the first day I ate there Brunch: Fancy enough to have cloth table cloths, but notably you can come as you are-more dressed up or casual. Staff friendly and attentive. Brunch NOT crowded, we make a reservation because we had a party of eight, but there seemingly was just enough people there-- wasn't too loud and not too crowded to the point where you wouldn't get a table. Even sitting at the bar seemed like a nice spot Loved the Variety and so many items of interest on their Brunch menu and cocktail menu! Apparently they do have an espresso machine but it is reportedly a bit temperamental so was out of commission this afternoon lol, so I Tripple fisted it with a water, Reg coffee and a you're the spritz cocktail--flavored vodka, grape fruit juice Prosecco was singing my name! As an "appetizer" we ordered the Breakfast pizza-2 of them as they are not super large and come with 6 slices a piece ($20 bucks a pie! ), for what it was, I was surely pleased as I don't see breakfast pizzas on brunch menus very often . Many from our table ended up with either the Eggs Benedict w crab cakes or Canadian bacon. LET ME JUST SAYYYYYYY---OMG! that Canadian bacon!!!!!! The best I've evvver had on an eggs benny- some serious and nicely cooked slabs of ham! Never have I evvver ordered an eggs Benny and been so full I could only eat one of the two pieces served! It's was goooood! And I don't eat crab but I heard rave reviews from my fam about the crab cake version! To die for!! Sadly a couple of our eggs bennys --the egg was over cooked, lessening the delicious gooey egg yoke experience, that did make me sad as I order eggs Benny every where I go so I def take note when I don't get a correctly poached egg -However! For ME--the pros out weighted this con so still enjoyed The chocolate shake and presentation of it is awesome too! We were disappointed only with the blueberry dump something lol- it comes out in a skillet-blueberry, custard pancake something. It was less pancake and more this custard thing that we all def could have passed on Overall- I was def satisfied! I want to come bk for more brunch and dinner eventually! Parking: we were very lucky on a Sunday afternoon. We got a spot on the same block as the restaurant but yes, parking will be annoying potentially lol.
Once again delicious Eggs Benedict, but again, only lukewarm food. Also, peculiarly, the menu said "Canadian bacon", as did your waitress(vs. crabmeat Benedict). The meat in our Eggs Benedict was maple flavored bacon. The eggs were cooked to a perfectly runny when cut consistency. The bacon was generous and perfectly cooked, and the Hollandaise was lovely, but all lukewarm. This was especially strange as our waitress specifically told us to be careful of the very hot plates. The oven roasted potatoes were plentiful and nicely seasoned, but also lukewarm. Our food was brought out relatively quickly after we placed our order, so since oven roasted potatoes take more than 10 minutes to bake, I think they were cooked earlier and held on a hot tray or reheated when our order was placed.
Very nice eggs Benedict. Eggs were poached perfectly, nice and runny. The Hollandaise sauce was nice. The muffin was good too. It came with a generous serving of wedged potatoes, well seasoned. Too bad that the whole dish was not really warm. The restaurant is nice and service was great.
